Member Spotlight: Michael Flynn

Financial Secretary Michael Flynn was born in The Bronx. He is the oldest of 8 children to late Thomas and Anne (nee O’Brien). Michael's parents both came from Roscommon and his mom’s parents were from Galway and Sligo. Michael attended Our Lady of Mercy Parish School and Rice High School and graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration in 1986. Michael is a Senior Specialist with Consolidated Edison Company with 44 years of service.


Michael has been a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians since 1993 and currently a member of Myles Scully Division No.1 in Yonkers and is currently the Financial Secretary. Have held various offices including County President of Bronx County from 2001 thru 2008. He was the NYS District No.4 Director from 2013 to 2015. He was the Bronx County AOH Aide to the Grand Marshall to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2009 and was an Aide in the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2019. Michael and his wife Peggy (nee Brennan) have been married for 6.5 years and reside in Fort Montgomery, New York.
